Timeshare Scams – The Bad Guys Know you Own a Timeshare

Shortly after the death of her husband, Joanna Howard started receiving calls from timeshare telemarketers, making false claims that they could help her get rid of her timeshare – but she had to send them money first. Telemarketing scams continue to target timeshare owners each day because lists of timeshare owners are relatively easy to obtain. Hi Rosemary, if you believe the bill to be sent in error call you Resort and verify your account status. Yes, reorts are allowed to change their maintenances fees. On average they increase 8% per year. Check with you HOA on why the maintenance fees are going up and a breakdown of spending to see how your MF are maintaining or making upgrades to your home resort.
